…lots of stuff.
Citizens Bank hired me full time with a raise and benefits, except I have one semester left at UAlbany….so, my classes are on Tuesday and Thursdays, which will mean that I am only working part time at the bank during the fall. But it has been a smooth transition… I think I’ve adapted to the “real world” well. I’ve made some new friends [even if they are twice my age] but they’re double the fun, maybe that’s because they can legally drink alcohol. Besides all my old friends must have decided that keeping in touch wasn’t worth it, as most of my phone calls are left unreturned.
Anyway, back to the bank…my former intern-buddy, Stephanie came back to visit and showed off her new Chili Red Mini Cooper S, which by the way only encouraged my Dad to go out and purchase my new Mini Cooper S EARLY! For those of you who do not know, my college graduation gift from my parents is a brand new car, [as well as my own insurance, cell phone bill, rent, and gas]! So, last night my dad, mom, and I went to Keeler and ordered it. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to drive it off the lot, but it will be here in 3-4 weeks! As for now, I have my Mini brochure…and I tend to stare at the bright and shiny pictures every 5 minutes or so, dreaming of my Mini.
Finally, after only 3 months on the job I get a vacation, and in less than 24 hours I will be driving to the Cape with my dad, mom, Meg, Sam, Geoff, Mark, Chelsea, Maggie and we can’t forget little Molly. The Churchill house is always packed, which is what makes it so much fun. Unfortunately, the wait for my trip will seem longer because I am leaving the bank at five, only to drive straight to the Red Barn to make some quick cash before my well deserved vacation!
Who would have thought being grown up was so much fun?
P.S. Pics from the new MINI and vacation are coming soon from my new Olympus digital camera!
